Russian troops carried out nearly 20 attacks on April 26 on the Nikopol District in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, injuring at least three people, regional governor Serhii Lysak reported.

Russia struck the city of Nikopol, as well as Myrove and Marhanets communities, reportedly damaging 12 houses, several high-rise buildings, three utility buildings, and a stadium, according to Lysak.

Nikopol, situated on the banks of the dried-up Kakhovka Reservoir, just across from Russian-occupied Enerhodar and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, is a regular target of Russian attacks.

As of noon local time, the governor reported that the Russian shelling of Nikopol injured a 42-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy.

The number of casualties rose to three, as Lysak said at around 6 p.m. local time that an 18-year-old was also injured.

Moscow has intensified attacks against Dnipro, Ukraine's fourth-largest city, and the surrounding region this spring.

Four people aged between 22 and 74 were injured in Russian strikes against the Nikopol district on April 25, Lysak reported earlier.
