Russian forces targeted an industrial facility in Zaporizhzhia on Jan. 8, killing 13 people and injuring 122, including a child, according to State Emergency Service. Search and rescue operations have now been completed.

At least 59 people have been hospitalized, with 10 in critical condition, Zaporizhzhia Oblast Governor Ivan Fedorov reported in the morning on Jan. 9. The attack was conducted using KAB-guided bombs, Fedorov said.

According to the National Police, the bombs exploded among a crowd of people between the infrastructure facility's administrative building and the road.

The attack damaged apartment buildings, an industrial facility, and other infrastructure. A tram and a minibus carrying passengers were also hit, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.Four administrative buildings and 27 cars were damaged, the State Emergency Service said.

Overnight, Russia launched 64 Shahed-type attack drones and various dummy drones across Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Air defenses intercepted 41 drones over nine oblasts. Of the remaining drones, 22 dummy drones were lost in Ukrainian airspace, three returned to Russia, and one flew to Belarus.
